You-Ju Choi
You-Ju Choi is currently in her first year of her political science program at the University of Alberta and enjoying life. She has remained enraptured by Model United Nations since her first conference, a Seminar (on the United Nations and International Affairs), and ConnectMUN 2010 and has found no extracurricular activity quite like it. She enjoys reading, debating, doing some sort of related rates calculus, writing, and looking for music that she's never heard before. In association with other people, she also debates (with other people this time, competitively), talks, throwsdodges rhino skin balls in a very intense game of dodgeball, plays a variety of sports, tries to play console games, takes people out to tea, and "MUNs" (a verb for:
being a delegate at Model United Nations Conferences). She hopes that people will eventually see the value in reason and logic and that the world will become a very well thought out place for humans, birds, invertebrates, mammals, fishes, "protists", etc. alike. Overall, she really loved ConnectMUN when she came as a delegate, and hopes that this year's conference will be just as rewarding for everyone else as it had been for her!
Chair
Eunice Kwok
Not only a second-year Biology major at UBC, or an at-home patissier, Eunice also actively promotes blood donation at high schools and her university campus, and works alongside politicians in campaigns. This will be her first time attending ConnectMUN, but she hopes that her three previous experiences at CAHSMUN in WHO will be sufficient in encouraging enthusiasm and a strong bonding amongst all delegates in the committee. She anxiously awaits to motivate every delegate to speak out, so be prepared for some good times in session!
Chair
Robin Shih
Robin Shih is a grade 12 student who is currently attending Fraser Heights Secondary School. Having began MUN in Grade 11 and having delegated at numerous conferences in the past year along with writing too many position papers, Robin is looking forward to serving as a member of ConnectMUN Staff as a chair in the WHO. In addition to serving as one of the leaders of Fraser Height's own MUN club, Robin is involved in a plethora of extracurricular activities which causes him to spend more time at school then is healthy for somebody his age. Nonetheless in his few moments of spare time Robin enjoys running, playing basketball, and of course the two staples of life, eating and sleeping.
Crisis Director
Jason Kim
Currently an International Baccalaureate student (Grade 12) in Semimahmoo Secondary School, Jason Seungjae Kim is a MUN enthusiast, a musician, and a man of mystery. He keeps a keen interest on international affairs and enjoys debating in order to attain a more holistic view on worldly matters. Besides Model UN, Jason also adores taking part in Science/Math challenges and competitions, jazz piano, rugby, and wrapping around in a blanket in front of a fire to watch and sing along to Disney movies.
