Secretary General

He has been with Connect Model United Nations since its inaugural year, making this his fourth ConnectMUN conference. He hopes to bring all that he has learned in previous years, along with the Secretariat, to
make this Conference a truly rewarding experience for all participants. Having been in South Korea for the past 6 months, he looks forward to to be able to show what he has learned about the global
community and our role in it as global citizens.Contact Jose at sg@connectmun.ca
Sahir Moosvi
Deputy Secretary General, Conference
Sahir is a second year undergraduate at UBC in the faculty of Science. As DSG
Conference, Sahir hopes to make this conference the best he's been to since he started his MUN life back in Grade 7. Vyas Saran
Deputy Secretary General, External
Finally "relinquishing" himself as tyrant-in-chief of the Fraser Heights MUN club, Vyas is preparing to enter his first year in the B.A. program at UBC. Having held a presence at 18 conferences over the last three years in the capacity of being a delegate, and staff member, and Secretary-General, Vyas is excited to be DSG External for one of the largest MUN conferences in western Canada (he gave up a staff position at Connect 2010 because delegating in the SC is just too much fun). He enjoys reading (particularly Rushdie, and 1001 Arabian Nights), writing, complaining about/crying because of/cheering for the Canucks, exploring abandoned train stations, and other generally amusing things. By way of unique marketing techniques including Mobile MUN Workshops, Vyas is excited to bring a creative edge, and heavy experience over the next few months, to make this November's conference the best it has ever been. Amani Kafeety
Chief of Staff
A recent graduate of Fraser Heights, Amani is thrilled to be attending SFU this fall for the B.Sc. in Health Sciences program. She has been involved in Model United Nations ever since she first joined her school's club in grade 10, participated in numerous conferences as both delegate, staff and secretariat member, and has eventually made her way to becoming a leading member of the club, where she also played a huge part of the Fraser Heights Model United Nations conference that just completed its third year in operation. In her spare time, Amani enjoys reading literature, social networking, sight-seeing, amongst other things. Overall, Amani is thrilled to be on the ConnectMUN secretariat this year as Chief of Staff, and she looks forward to working hard with everyone towards making this year's conference another huge success! Yue Lu
Chargé d'Affaires
A senior at U-Hill Secondary, Yue has done numerous MUNs in Vancouver, across the continent, and around the world. Passionate about IR and politics, he is very well self-indulged in his hypothetical ideal society, and tends to bring
this dream everywhere including MUN. In his natural habitat, Yue can be found reading philosophy, attempting to beat himself in chess, playing the violin while trying to accompany himself with feet on the piano, chasing after Frisbees, and conducting small scale chemistry
experiments in his room. Yue is honoured and thrilled to serve as the Chargeé for ConnectMUN, and hopes to help making the conference the best ever!

She recently returned from a three month placement in a rural village in Uganda, and has since been inspired to learn more about development from the grassroots level, as well as explore the origins and spread of social change. She hopes to host this year's Commonwealth Conference with a unique perspective and insight from her experiences. This is the third year she has been involved in this unique partnership with ConnectMUN, and is super excited to welcome new and returning delegates this year to either conference!Contact Natasha at commonwealth@connectmun.ca
